We are recruiting new Board Members

April 01, 2021

“The last 12 months have been a year of change for many organisations and Women in Transport has stood its ground through the extraordinary contributions of its volunteers and board members. More than ever, supporting women in the transport industry navigating professional and personal changes is needed. Women in Transport intends to achieve this by renewing its governance structure and I am delighted to announce that we are recruiting for a series of newly created board roles.”

Sonya Byers, CEO

Please read the role profiles and the nomination form carefully.

You must be a Women in Transport member for at least a year by 13 May 2021 to apply for these roles. The President role is only open to existing board members as we are at a key transition in the evolution of Women in Transport which requires a level of knowledge and experience of the existing operation.

We estimate the time commitment for each role is approximately 15 - 20 hours a month or 0.5 day a week although this will vary depending on what projects you are involved in at any given time. We recognise that you will be volunteering your time and balancing other commitments. This estimate is just to provide an indication based on our experience of other similar roles within our organisation.
