I’m super excited for everything we have lined-up for our members in 2026. Here are a few of my highlights to look forward to in the year ahead:
Our 20th anniversary celebrations will be continuing through to June.
Our influential women’s safety work continues to gather momentum. Our baseline survey which we launched in the autumn is still open for responses, so please take the time to have your say if you haven’t already. Huge thanks to everyone who responded before Christmas too. Our All-Party Parliamentary Group for Women in Transport will also be continuing their focus on women’s safety, this time exploring how the arrival of autonomous vehicles can enhance women’s safety. This work is kindly sponsored by Waymo.
We’ll be launching new research and whitepapers, including work on women’s safety, allyship, and ageism in recruitment.
Advance mentoring is already underway with 52 pairs confirmed, and Lead Cohort 14 kicks off this month.
We’re looking at introducing new organisational values to guide everything we do. More to come on this soon.
Plus, exciting improvements in our digital systems, including a new CRM and community platform, to make your membership experience even better.
On a personal note, I was deeply honoured to receive an OBE in the King’s New Year Honours List for services to diversity and inclusion in transport. This recognition is really for all of us – our incredible volunteers, members, and partners who make Women in Transport the powerful movement for change that we are today. Thank you for being part of this journey.
