We extend our heartfelt thanks to Marny Moruzzi as she steps down from her role as Vice President of Women in Transport having completed her four year term.
Since taking on the position in 2021, Marny has been a passionate and dedicated volunteer, championing gender diversity and inclusion across the transport sector. Her commitment, insight, and support for our members have made a lasting impact on the organisation and the wider industry.
A Fellow of the CIHT and Chartered Member of CILT, certified with ILM Level 7, NEC Project Manager accreditation, and with multiple awards to her name including the 2022 We Are the City Rising Star for Transport Infrastructure and Logistics, Marny has been a member of Women in Transport since its inception in 2005.
During her term as Vice President (VP) of Women in Transport, Marny has made significant contributions in leadership, advocacy, and inclusion across the UK transport sector.
Marny was elected as VP in recognition of long‑standing advocacy for women’s progression and retention in transport and long‑term career development. She has served on high-profile panels, such as Women in Transport’s Highways UK stage, moderating key discussions on social value and cross-industry innovation and recently chaired our round table discussion on menopause in the workplace.
Marny has been a fantastic mentor on Women in Transport’s Advance mentoring programme supporting members with their career development drawing on her significant personal and professional experience as a woman working in transport.
Marny represented Women in Transport on influential industry bodies, including the Highways UK Advisory Board as well judging many industry awards including the Construction News Workforce Awards 2024.

Women in Transport marked its 20th anniversary this June with a celebration at the London Transport Museum. Our next stage of evolution is to transform into a new structure that is fit for purpose for the size and scale of our current organisation and will provide a platform to take us into the future.
Our President, Jo Field, adopted the title of Chair of the Board in June and will be launching recruitment this Autumn to appoint a new Chair and the new role of Vice Chair at our next Annual General Meeting in June 2026.
