Women In Transport Members Insight: Jade Neville

October 15, 2024

When did you join Women in Transport?

March 2023

Why did you join Women in Transport?

Expand my network and collaborate with women across the transportation sector.

What do you enjoy most about being part of Women in Transport?

Being able to influence change within the sector and have a positive impact on the development of policies supporting women across parking and transportation.

Current job title

Sales Operations and Marketing Manager / Chair of the Women's Safety Group WiT

What does your current job involve?

I am responsible for leading market engagement strategy for Trellint across the UK and the US, supporting business growth working alongside the sales and marketing teams. I am also Chair of the Women's Safety Group for WiT, the immediate past president of the British Parking Association and co-founder of the new Women in Parking UK community.

What's the best thing about your job?

The ability and flexibility to influence meaningful change within our sector, whether that be raising awareness of key issues / challenges or contributing to the development of policies and best practice. I also love connecting people and creating opportunities for cross sector collaborations.

How did you become involved in the transport industry?

I have been working in the parking sector for over 17 years, having taken a "stop gap" job as a parking attendant back in 2007 and I never left!

What do you like about working in transport?

The people and the challenges. The people are amazing, there are so many talented and dedicated people in this industry and no two days are the same!

What are you most proud of?

Setting up the new women in parking group alongside my colleague Hannah Fuller. The community has grown tremendously and it has been so rewarding to see a noticeable increase in the number of women coming forward to volunteer for more governance roles within the British Parking Association since the group was reformed. I am also extremely proud to be chairing the newly formed Women's Safety Group for WiT, where I am looking forward to working alongside likeminded dedicated professionals towards improving the safety of women and girls in transportation.
