What is your role on the board?
North West Regional Lead

How long have you been involved with Women in Transport?
Since 2022

Why did you join Women in Transport?
To find my tribe i.e., people who look and think like I do

What do you enjoy most about being part of Women in Transport?
The community; it is an incredibly supportive and inspiring set of people. And the chance to do things that are outside of the scope of my job that enrich and fulfil me.

Current job title?
Marketing and Communications Manager

What does your current job involve?
I am accountable for our brand identity, internal communication and content creation across various channels. I build and maintain relationships with key clients, utilise digital marketing effectively and develop comprehensive communication strategies. Additionally, I drive customer maturity, support bid writing, manage events and budgets, coordinate social value initiatives and provide subject matter expertise. I champion equality, diversity and inclusion, fostering an inclusive workplace culture. As a skilled facilitator, I lead productive meetings and workshops, guiding discussions and problem-solving to maintain clarity and alignment.

What's the best thing about your job?
I get to do what I love - writing, researching and designing - every day!

Volunteering with Women in Transport (ICE Panel)

How did you become involved in the transport industry?
I joined the traffic management sector three years ago, prior to this I worked in the landscaping/grounds maintenance industry. I became more involved when I started volunteering as the NW regional lead in 2023.

What do you like about working in transport?
The diversity of roles and the different people that you get to meet all working together to improve the customer experience for the better.

What are you most proud of?
Achieving some of my big ticket career development items in the past 12 months with the support of Women in Transport and my employer including a Leadership Development course, speaker opportunities and contributing to a whitepaper.
