Site visit with Voi - Postponed
We regret to announce that our upcoming site visit to Voi’s eScooter depot in Liverpool, originally scheduled for Thursday, September 14th 2023, will be postponed. This decision stems from a recent series of cancellations we have received. Our commitment to delivering high-quality events led us to conclude that the significantly reduced attendance would adversely impact the overall experience.
Rest assured, we are actively working on rescheduling this event, and we will promptly communicate the new date and time as soon as possible.
Women in Transport invites you to join us for a tour of Voi’s eScooter depot in Liverpool. Non-members are now welcome!
Find out about Voi’s mission to help people reclaim their cities one eScooter at a time and their plan to support more women into the industry.
The event will take place on Thursday 14th September from 11:00 until 13:00. The depot is located at Unit 10 Glacier Buildings, Brunswick Business Park, Harrington Road, Liverpool L3 4BH. Parking will be available on-site on a first-come first-served basis.
The depot is a 10 minute walk from Brunswick Railway Station.

Who is Voi?
Voi is a provider of light mobility vehicles such as eScooters and eBikes. It has positioned itself as a change agent, challenging the status quo to make shared micro-mobility options that integrate with other transportation services the norm. Voi wants to create cities where people can live and move in a safe and healthy environment with less pollution, less noise and more space.
What to expect
Voi is eager to attract female mechanics to join their team. They would like to use this event to network with members who have best practice to share in this area. Or members who might be interested in collaborating to create a bespoke, female-mechanic training programme.
The event will begin with a brief introduction and site tour of Voi’s facility in Liverpool led by Fleet and Warehouse Manager, Owen Brown.
This is followed by presentations from Fleet Specialist Della Kadiri-Rawlins, Fleet Specialist Andrea Blundell, and Senior PR Manager, Juliette Maxam, who will share what they do in the world of micro-mobility.
The presentations will be followed by relaxed networking over refreshments and the opportunity to try out an eScooter*. Please note that all necessary PPE will be provided.
Open to all
This event is open to members and non-members of all genders and is ideal for enterprise advisors, STEM advisors, and anyone working in talent acquisition or further education who is interested in exploring collaborations to encourage more women into mechanical engineering.
Registration is essential
Please note that this event is for members only and is limited to 25 guests so please register early to avoid disappointment.
*eScooters will be available for guests aged 18 and over with a full or provisional driving license to try. You must download the Voi app onto your smartphone and create a Voi account ahead of the event. Guests will be given access to one free ride. Guests will be given a safety briefing before trying the eScooters and a helmet to keep. Guests must only ride the eScooters within the designated area during the event and comply with the directions of all marshalls.
