Women in Transport at Highways UK 2023

Women in Transport is once again pleased to be a partner of Highways UK which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham on the 18th & 19th October.

Women in Transport, along with other industry professionals, will be taking to the stage to talk about encouraging the next generation of girls into the industry.

Join us at the Women in Transport Stand (Stand 241) where we’ll be on-hand to welcome members new and existing and to talk about all things Women in Transport, including a session on our LEAD Development Programme.

Catch us on stage:

  • 19th at 12.20 on the Big Thinking Stage where Sonya Byers, CEO of Women in Transport will be moderating a panel discussion on How can we encourage the next generation of women in Highways, with panelists including:

    • Nicola Bell MBE, Exec Director, Major Projects at National Highways

    • Anita Solanki, Head of Interfaces at EKFB and the author of “How I Got Here”

    • Katie Harris, Strategic Organisational Lead for Early Talent at Transport for Wales and Women in Transport lead for our Schools Engagement Project

  • 19th at 12.20 on the Sustainability Stage where our Vice President, Marny Moruzzi, will be moderating a discussion on Action, not words: ensuring social values goes beyond just lip service.

  • 19th at 13.45 on the Innovation Stage where our Vice President, Marny Moruzzi, will be moderating a discussion on How can the Highways industry learn learn from other transport industries.
