Women in Transport Supports Better Transport Week 12 - 18 June 2023

Women in Transport are proud to be one of over 80 organisations supporting Campaign for Better Transport’s inaugural Better Transport Week, in celebration of their 50th anniversary as the leading transport charity in England and Wales.

Running from 12th to 18th June, key figures from across the transport industry, government, business, NGOs and passenger groups will come together for a week of positive public engagement, talks and events, to promote greener, better, fairer transport.

With themed days and exciting competitions, if you care about transport there will be plenty to get involved with, whether you're a passenger, pedestrian, car-sharer or cyclist!

  • Rail Day: Launching the week with a focus on our railways.

  • Bus and Coach Day: Celebrating these popular forms of public transport.

  • Local Transport Day: Featuring integrated local transport, light rail, shared mobility, active travel and multimodal networks.

  • Health Day: Highlighting the links between better transport and better health including a celebration of Clean Air Day.

  • Business Day: Focusing on business travel and the economy, including commuting and freight

The full Better Transport Week timetable can be found here.

As an official partner of Better Transport Week we’ll be helping to promote the wide range of benefits of public transport/walking/cycling and encourage more people to travel sustainably [this will form the theme of our monthly virtual networking this month].
