Welcome to the Women in Transport East Midlands Hub
The Women in Transport East Midlands hub sets out to build a community of people who live or work in the transport sector in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire or Lincolnshire.
A community that helps support, encourage, develop each other. A community that collaborates, educates, innovates and attracts and retains women in our sector.
Members can expect a wide range of events throughout the year. Some in person, some online where people can network, learn, grow and build long term relationships. The launch of our East Midlands Hub took place in June and we had over 40 people attend and further interest show outside of this event. We have been thrilled with the response and desire for this hub.

Our East Midlands Regional Lead – Donna Hoffman
I am CEO of Inside Out Group (since 2012). providing film production, media portfolio and camera specialists in the infrastructure industries across the UK. We supply our services to Network Rail, HS2, main contractors, consultants, local authorities and companies who also supply these contractors.
I was on the Board of the Rail Forum from 2018 to 2025. I am also an accredited Positive Psychology and Alcohol Coach and the owner of Donna Hoffman Lifestyle Coaching.
I was born in Nottingham and have worked in the city since leaving uni. I even represented Nottinghamshire and the Midlands in tennis throughout my teenage years and my son is now a scholar at Notts County.
My work at Inside Out Group takes me all across the UK. However, I am passionate about my home town and the range of talented people that work within it. I have worked closely with many companies in Derby, especially through the Rail Forum.
The East Midlands is the pinnacle of transport with so many key companies and sectors covering all areas of transport. With this hub we have the potential to bring all these people together to promote and enhance Women in Transport and achieve great things.
Corporate Partners
Arup have kindly donated the £2,500 startup fee for the East Midlands Hub. Jenny Oakes (Associate Transport Planner at Arup) enabled this.
East Midlands County and Combined Authority (EMCCA) have joined as corporate partners. Nottingham Trams supported and sponsored our launch event.
Collaboration Opportunities
The East Midlands Hub really is a great opportunity for anyone working in transport in the East Midlands. You do not need to be an operator. The hub is for anyone involved in a company or self employment that provides goods or services that helps people or products get from A to B.
There will be opportunities to meet new people, build relationships, learn and educate, collaborate, innovate and really feel part of something that will have a positive impact on Women in Transport.
Should you have any questions or would like to find out more, please do connect with Donna Hoffman on LinkedIn, or email her on eastmidlands@womenintransport.com. Donna is happy to chat to anyone who would be interested in finding out more.
