Visit to the Transport for London Control Centre

This fascinating tour will give you an insight into how real time incidents, that are happening across the Transport for London road network, are monitored and managed.

These incidents can range from broken down vehicles and collisions to demonstrations and sporting events. You will learn about the different tools that are used to do this, such as TIMS (Traffic Information Management System), CCTV, VMS (Variable Message Signs) and UTC (Urban Traffic Control) and social media. TfL also manages the bus network, dealing with incidents and diversions as well as 12 tunnels in London.
